Construction Defect only: I’ve spent my entire 29-year career exclusively as a construction defect trial attorney, handling hundreds of cases for both defendants and plaintiffs.  My mediation practice is also devoted solely to CD cases.

Defense experience: I’ve represented some of the country’s largest homebuilders in major multi-party construction defect cases.  Those cases required both the ability to defend the builder and the ability to prosecute the builder’s claims against its design professionals and subcontractors.

Plaintiff experience: I’ve represented hundreds of homeowners and HOAs, recovering over $100 Million in judgments and settlements.  Those cases range from custom single family homes to 400+ unit condominiums.

Trial/Arbitration experience:  I’ve first-chaired numerous trials and arbitrations for both defendants and plaintiffs.  As experienced construction defect counsel and experienced carrier representatives recognize, knowing the most probable outcome of a construction defect case is the critical factor in evaluating settlement.

Insurance Coverage experience: Almost all construction defect cases involve complex insurance coverage issues.  I’ve had to address these issues in order to evaluate settlement, collection and case viability in almost all my cases over the last 29 years.  I’ve also been involved in first-party and third-party coverage cases.  As a result, my knowledge of the insurance side of CD cases is extremely solid.
